About Kevin Bailey

I help neurodivergent professionals close the gap between insight and action.

You may already understand yourself well. You may know what matters, what needs to change, and what would probably help. The harder part is turning that understanding into something you can actually use on a demanding Tuesday.

That knowing-doing gap is the work I built Go Beyond Knowing around.

Why I do this work

I built this because I needed it first.

Before Go Beyond Knowing, I spent years in learning design, organizational development, change, and consulting, including work at Deloitte. I could see systems, connect ideas quickly, and help other people make sense of complicated work.

What people could not see was how much effort sometimes went into keeping my own work moving. Eventually, that way of operating stopped holding. Projects drifted. Work I understood became hard to start or finish. I pushed harder because that was what I knew how to do, until pushing harder stopped working.

The important realization was not that I needed more information. I already understood a lot about what was happening. I needed a better way to translate insight into action, with support that fit the brain and life I actually had.

What I came to believe

Getting stuck is information.

A task can be easy to understand and still hard to begin. A system can work beautifully for two weeks and become useless when the week changes. A hard stretch can cost far more recovery time than anyone else sees.

Instead of asking, “Why can’t I make myself do this?” I’d rather ask what is making this hard to move, and what would make the next step easier to use in real life.

Sometimes the task is hiding a decision. Sometimes you are carrying too much in working memory. Sometimes the next step is fuzzy, the deadline is vague, or the plan assumes more energy than you have this week.

Once we can see what is happening, we have something concrete to work with. That is a very different starting point from treating follow-through as a character test.

Why trust me with this?

I bring lived experience and professional depth to the same room.

Lived experience

I know the knowing-doing gap from the inside. This work grew out of learning how to work with my own neurodivergent brain and the realities a plan on paper can miss.

Professional background

I bring CTACC coaching training and more than a decade across learning design, organizational development, consulting, and complex professional environments.

Practical coaching

The work stays close to real life. Emails, projects, decisions, competing priorities, recovery, and the moments when a good plan stops fitting.

Start with the real thing

You do not need a perfect explanation of why you are stuck.

Bring the thing that is not moving. We can look at what is happening, what you have already tried, and whether working together makes sense.
